Welp, the both of us have officially finished classes as of this week and are looking forward to what we hope to be a long, enjoyable summer! Some great music came out this week and we are happy to pass it along. It’s almost an even 50/50 in regards to brand new original tracks and great remixes from some very talented artists doing what they do best. Enjoy! What’s good world? Flashback Friday Vol. 63 is here! We are very anxious to start hearing some amazing summer tracks released by all the incredible artists who truly know how to set the tone. We hope everyone in school who’s getting close to the end of the year can hang in there! Check each of these great tracks out, there’s quite a healthy mix as always. Paper Diamond & Protohype – PaperHype (Original Mix)

Paper Diamond and Protohype produced this one called ‘PaperHype’ which is a part of the ‘Paragon’ EP released by Paper Diamond. Check out what Paper Diamond has to say about the EP and read more here:

“Paragon was created over the course of a year and a half since the release of Levitate and has changed shapes many times. Initially, it was an 8 song EP that I planned on releasing a few months back. I sent it to a few producers/friends and Diplo contacted me saying he really liked the EP and especially 3 of the songs. He thought they would be a good introductory release on his label Mad Decent. I ended up splitting the 3 songs off of Paragon to create “Wavesight” my second EP which was released on JEFFREES / MAD DECENT. JEFFREES is an offshoot of Mad Decent that offers free releases. I was left with 5 songs from Paragon but ended up putting a couple out as singles, and keeping a few that are now on the current version of the EP. I especially like some of this material because even after a year of sitting on it, I still like it as much as i did before and is thus standing the test of time.

Paragon by definition means “An ideal instance or a perfect embodiment of a concept” and although I don’t think that Paragon is “perfect” it is a great representation of my life and influences throughout the last year and a half. (I would like to note that some of my best/favorite work has actually been inspired by imperfection). Since the release of the Levitate EP I have made close to 100 songs and weeding it down to 11 songs was not an easy feat, but that is what created my concept for Paragon. Its my favorite moments or ideal instances in my musical life, mixed together into a cohesive piece that is intended to be listened to in its entirety. I also made the EP so it doesn’t stick to a certain concept for too long and generally shows a love for music, as opposed to a certain genre.”

This week’s collection kicks off with some immediate trap action, followed by some of this years most melodic and entrancing dubstep, with bits and pieces of electro house, an AMAZING cinematic melody by Nero, and gritty banger tracks to add some splash. So much good music is being put out lately, it’s honestly hard to keep up! MUST DIE! has certainly been on fire with his recent releases by finding and maintaining his creative edge that is so hard to find nowadays. Atlanta has a plethora of producers that are finding their zone and making a name which I love to see. I have a feeling I’ll be playing this one throughout the summer as I’m driving in the car, blasting it for everyone to hear!

Paul Oakenfold – Who Do You Love ft Austin Bis (PrototypeRaptor Remix)

Here’s a track to get you in the mood for summer. PrototypeRaptor dropped this official remix of Paul Oakenfold’s ‘Who Do You Love’ and it has been on repeat ever since. Our last update of PrototypeRaptor featured his sophomore album, ‘Nostalgiarithm,’ which was released three months ago. This remix takes on a different light of the electro house style and works with the vocals on the track as well as feature, Austin Bis, a songwriter, producer and musician from Venice Beach. PrototypeRaptor also just dropped a teaser for an upcoming song, ‘Unlock Code,’ a 8bit, electro house track, releasing May 3rd.

New York’s Dank, CEO and founder of Funky Element Records, has teamed up with Brazilian, FTampa, for an absolute banger! Dank featured vocalist, jACQ, a few months ago for a single titled ‘Crystals,’ which looks to have been a huge success so I can see why jACQ is back again. ‘So Much More’ synchronizes jACQ’s vocals with both highs and lows, taking an upbeat intro and methodically bringing in a deeper, grainy melody, combining them for the drop.

Zanski – And Wolves We Are LP

Zanski is a stunning 19 year old producer from Thunder Bay, Canada with a plethora of unique sounds and styles to showcase. His name may not be known yet around the world, but his music certainly should be. ‘And Wolves We Are’ is a FREE LP, 11 tracks of varying styles and rhythms that you definitely do not want to miss out on! I would go as far as to say this is one of my favorite albums of the year so far due to the complexity, variety, and overall appealing sound.
